New cars coming in 2023

25 tammikuu, 2023

Things will happen in the new car world during the year. A post pandemic and component shortage effect has caused many launches to be delayed, thus making 2023 the year of events. Yes, at least when it comes to rolling out new car models!

New quickly becomes used

We at Kvdbil mediate and sell used cars as you know, but like to keep track of the new models that are launched. Both because it's fun (of course!) , but also because, after all, it doesn't usually take that long before newly released cars hit the used market.

When Polestar released its Model 2, it only took a couple of months from when the first car was delivered in Sweden until it appeared on kvd.se. It was just as fast when KIA released its e-Niro in 2019. We're talking semi-used here!

New models rolling out this year

Our friends at Teknikens Värld threw over their list of car models coming out during the year, and here we have handpicked a bunch that we think are particularly interesting.

Audi

The popular and all-electric e-tron gets a sibling in the form of the A6 e-tron. Here you get a car where the 800 volt system makes charging impressively fast. Next year, the combi version of the same car will arrive. An Audi cousin to Porsche's electric Macan will also arrive in the near future, but when is not confirmed. But the model is named Q6 e-tron.

BMW

BMW's new electric car iX1 began production already at the end of last year and will hit Swedish streets in 2023. In the middle of the year, the brand is also expected to release its new 5 series, which includes a fully electric station wagon; i5.

Opel

Now you can buy a completely new version of the Opel Astra. There you can choose between a petrol or plug-in hybrid. For those who are interested, the Astra will also be released as a purely electric car later in 2023.

Peugeot

During the year, Peugeot comes with its brand new 408, in appearance a mixture of a sedan and an SUV. In terms of size, it lands between Peugeot's existing models 3008 and 508. The 408 comes out with both a pure gasoline engine and as a plug-in hybrid.

Smart

The small car with room for two now comes with room for four. Model #1 is the first release after Chinese Geely became a partner in the brand.

Volkswagen

Things are happening here! The Amarok comes in a new version and then on the same platform as the Ford Ranger. And the classic Passat is going electric. The sedan variant will go under the name ID.7 and the station wagon variant currently goes by the name ID.Space Vizzion, but an ID name with a number will probably come eventually. There are rumors of a range of 62 miles.

Volvo

The brand new EX90 electric car will be a luxurious SUV with room for seven. And if it tastes good, it costs - the car comes with a price tag that starts at over a million. But even if the model can be ordered already now, deliveries to customers will probably be delayed until spring 2024.
