Kvdbil got the job to sell the last Saab cars

The media and Saab fans cheered and the bids poured in. Yes, there was certainly quite a stir when NEVS entrusted us with conveying some of the last Saab cars ever produced. We had a chat with Anders Jagefeldt at NEVS - about the sale, why they chose Kvdbil and about possible further sales.

In 2014, the last 420 Saab cars were manufactured in Trollhättan. All the cars built were of the 9-3 Aero model and were made from leftover parts that were left in the factory.

Most of the "last cars" were sold, but some were retained in NEVS ownership. Last year we passed on some of them - and a few weeks ago we got the honor again. Like the rest of the 420 cars built, these too came with the same specifications.

But what made these two stand out a little extra were incredibly low mileage. One with less than 1000 miles driven, and one just over that.

International interest and maximum activity

The fact that there was now the opportunity to get their hands on two more of the last Saabs was quickly picked up by the industry media, including Realtid , who were really quick on the ball. Many curious clicks were also generated through Kvdbil's newsletter and social media in connection with their publication - and the bids rolled in. Altogether, the two cars had 34 people bid and the bidding ended at SEK 236,000 and SEK 277,500, respectively.

The cars' ads were visited over 22,000 times and the visitors came in from all corners of the world. At the very top of the top three are Sweden, the USA and Finland. But also Norway, Germany, the Czech Republic but also visits from Antigua and Barbuda.

We had a follow-up chat with Anders at NEVS

Congratulations on your successful sales! There was a big uproar around these unique Saabs. Both internally at Kvdbil and in the media, as well as a heavy pressure on the bidding on kvd.se - where the final prices landed above expectations. Was it something you could have imagined?

- I actually suspected that it would go so well, as there is a great interest and desire for these cars in particular. We sold a number of the last 420 cars through you just over a year ago and the interest was very strong even then. These cars had driven even fewer miles, which of course increases the interest quite a bit.

How did you perceive the actual sales process through us?
- Incredibly flexible. The fact that you both pick up the cars and fix them before sale was so grateful for us.

Nice to hear! And why did the choice fall on us at Kvdbil when it came to selling these special cars?
- It was a year ago, before we sold for the first time through you, that I looked around a bit. In the end, the choice was between you and another competitor. You ended up getting the assignment as I thought we could get a higher final price through you.

The question that everyone wants an answer to; are there any more Saab 9-3 Aeros left with you?
- No, now we have none left to sell. The two we sold last time were the last.

Even if we don't get to see more of the cars from 2014, can we expect to get the confidence again if you want to sell other company cars?
- All the times that I will contact you again.
