3 tips for a successful caravan holiday

You must have a caravan! Here are three wonderful and practical tips for the motorhome or caravan holiday.

1. Discover Sweden's natural campsites

There are many advantages to gliding through our beautiful landscapes with a motorhome or caravan. One of them is that you have the luxury of having "home with you" and thus automatically have access to a kitchen, toilet and resting place. Take advantage of this to the max this summer and stay at nature campsites. You get the chance to experience spectacular environments and get closer to nature than at many other campsites.

2. Allow yourself to get lost on back roads

Plan your trip in advance, but allow yourself to leave room for unplanned adventures. After all, many of the most beautiful places are not right next to a highway - but behind the crest of a leafy country road, by a quiet lake or one at a dizzying height. Therefore, try drawing a route from point A to B that goes beyond the country's major highways.

3. Check the tow truck for the caravan

If you have a caravan on a trailer, it is important that you have a car that simply "pallets the pressure". The car you choose must be able to maintain stability, the extra weight and a firm grip on the roadway.

Tips from our side are:

• Choose an engine with around 150 hp or more for a pleasant drive

• Choose a car with a relatively low total weight, around 2,200 kg, and you reduce the risk of the combined total weight of the car and caravan exceeding 3,500 kg - which is the limit for you with a B driving license
