The Tested range is a wide selection of used cars which, depending on their age and mileage, may require some maintenance and servicing, as well as possible repairs. However, each vehicle is unique with its own history, so it is important to read the description and any comments in our test to understand its condition.

What do we notice in the Kvd test?
Our vehicle technicians have tested the car on more than 170 points and noted both approved points and eventual remarks. This gives you a good and fair picture of the car.
Since the the car has had a previous owner, some signs of use may be present, which we consider normal wear based on the car’s age and mileage. This is not indicated in the test results, but is a natural part of a used car.

The engine light is on. Noise from the drive belt. Whining noise in the engine compartment. Oil moisture. The car is difficult to start cold, the turbo sounds louder than normal (loud whining noise), leakage from the injector on the right side of the engine, it is not possible to change driving modes. The drivetrain should work but requires ongoing maintenance and replacement of components. The drivetrain is noisier than on a car that has driven a shorter distance. Traces of oil in the engine compartment are very common and oil consumption is higher than when the car was new. The range on electricity is limited.

Brakes are wearing parts and should be replaced when necessary. Surface rust may occur on the brake discs and is considered normal, without affecting braking performance.

SRS light is on. Wheel vibrations. Uncertain function of the Adblue system as it warns of an "adblue malfunction" but there is adblue in the tank, found two cables loose under the car by the tank but made no difference after connecting, extra lights out of order

Several scratches on the steps and bottom edge of the door insides as well as marks on the steering wheel, gear lever, knobs and instruments are common. The seats and textiles show clear wear and have some stains, also on the headliner. The luggage compartment often shows clear traces of use.

Tires are a wearing part and need to be replaced when they are old, when the tread depth is not sufficient or if the tires have obvious damage. The tread depth is indicated in millimeters. Scuff marks or scratches on the rims are also present.
