The start of a new year means that, according to tradition, we look back at the best-selling cars from the past year. Here we have compiled the best-selling car brands and models at Kvdbil in 2023.
The list below is based on the passenger cars sold through us during the year.
Volvo has been manufacturing cars since 1926 and is perhaps the company that most outside the country's borders think of, along with IKEA and H&M, when someone mentions Sweden. By manufacturing cars for the public with safety in focus, Volvo has become a dear part of the Swedish public, even though Volvo now has foreign owners.
Volkswagen, or "People's car" as it translates as, has long been a popular car brand and has a long history behind it. From the beloved "Bubble" model, a winning concept that still stands today, to today's Passat and Golf, Volkswagen belongs to the top three car manufacturers in the world.
BMW has been around since 1916 and over the years has managed to produce a variety of vehicles in addition to cars and is today considered one of the leading manufacturers of premium cars in the world. Did you know that BMW is the parent company of a number of different brands, such as the exclusive Rolls-Royce and the popular MINI?
For many, Mercedes is synonymous with good German quality, exclusivity and a classy status, which they have done since their inception in 1926. The Mercedes product line now includes almost the entire alphabet, including the A, B and C classes, the slightly larger CLS and The E-models and SUVs GLC and GLS.
Interest in KIA has increased significantly in Sweden in recent years, which has made KIA one of Sweden's fastest growing car brands right now. The Korean brand attracts many buyers with its 7-year new car warranty, along with affordable and well-equipped cars. Many of KIA's models are also partially or fully electrified.
Audi was founded as early as 1909, bought by the Volkswagen Group in 1964 and started producing premium cars in the 80s. Four-wheel drive cars under the name "Quattro" have become very popular and have also had great success in the rally world. Lately, there has been a lot of investment in so-called crossover SUVs, the Audi Q5 has become one of Europe's best-selling SUVs.
From looms to cars? The step may not feel completely given, but for Toyota it has worked perfectly! Toyota today produces everything from small cars, such as the Yaris and Corolla , to premium cars under the name Lexus .
